Rotational Viscometer

Instrument that measures the shear stress between concentric cylinders immersed in the liquid. As the outer cylinder is rotated, the shear stress trying to rotate the inner cylinder is measured. This is done at two speeds (300 and 600 RPM). From these two measures, the yield point and plastic viscosity of the liquid can be determined.
